Teaching Kids Key Life Learnings from 100 Biblical Characters: No. 4 – Noah

What practical key life learnings can we glean from the life of Noah?

Context (Genesis 6-9):  During the time of Noah, the earth became very wicked and God decided to start over with just his servant Noah and his family.  Because God asked, Noah built a great ark and brought on boards pairs of all the animals, birds and insects.

Then God brought a great flood on the earth for 40 days and only Noah and those on the ark were preserved.

Key Life Learnings:

  • Noah walked with God (Genesis 6:9).    Noah had been faithful to God all his life and God chose Noah carry on mankind after the flood.  God is looking for people today who are faithful to Him so He can use them to bless the world.
  • Noah believed God by faith and built the ark (Genesis 6:22).  Noah had never seen a great flood before.  He chose to believe God that He would bring it about.  Noah had never built a great boat before but he built the ark just as God had asked by faith.  God is looking for faithful people today who will do whatever He asks even if it seems crazy.  God can see the BIG picture and we can’t.  He asks us to walk by faith not by sight.
