Teaching Kids the Heroes Of The Faith

Florence Nightingale

Florence Nightingale

Ever wanted to teach your kids about people who have been committed to their faith through thick and thin? We found a great website called Christian Heroes.com.

Christian Heroes.com has tons of stories of men and women through the years that have lived their life for God. Have you heard the name Florence Nightingale and not known a thing about her? Well this is the site for you.

We encourage you to take one person a week and maybe read them after dinner to your kids. Everybody loves a good story and these are true life stories that will inspire your whole family.

God is faithful to us like He was to those men and women. Your kids will learn that many of these people lived in tough situations but through God’s strength they did amazing things.

Have you ever heard of Elizabeth Fry? Neither had I, but after reading of all of the lives she ministered to while raising ten children of her own, I am inspired. I just picked her from the list because her name was the same as mine. You could make a game like that for your children. If they find people with their same name pick those stories to read first.

Ok so I am now inspired and off to google to find out more information about Elizabeth Fry. Hope that your family gets inspired as well.

Thanks to the authors of Christian Heroes we have this great information available for our families.

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It is great for parents because it provides the Big Story of God’s wonderful plan for His children in all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
