The Big Idea Of Ephesians Is Encouraging The Church To Use God’s Incredible Blessings

EPHESIANS- ILLLUSTRATION

EPHESIANS- ILLLUSTRATION

Paul wrote this letter to the Ephesians because he wanted to remind them about the incredible blessings God had given them and to encourage them to use them.

In the course of every day life how easy it is to forget about all the blessings God has given us.  We just muddle around trying to use our own human strength to accomplish God’s divine work.

Paul reminds the Ephesians that they were brought into God’s family miraculously by the power and love of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Now they were to live this life by daily using the God’s blessings of power, faith, hope, love and wisdom.  These are like blank checks from heaven, just write them out and use them.

Paul encouraged the Ephesians to use these blessings to promote unity, love for one another, strength for their marriages, parenting wisdom for raising their children and to fight against evil forces.

Key New Testament Kid’s Application:

  1. Ask your kids if they would like Christmas presents every day?  Of course they would.  Ask them what gifts God provides them every day when they get up? You may need to give them some hints.  See above.  Ask them how they could use these gifts today and pray together and ask God to help them.
