THE BOOK OF EZRA- ILLUSTRATION

It is the story of a young boy name Patrick and his adventures through the Bible. In Ezra Patrick meets a Priest named Ezra that is called to lead God’s people. He wants to encourage God’s people to follow God. This is very frustrating for him because God’s people continue to disobey God. Here is a fun poem from Ezra’s perspective.
There once was a Priest who cried and cried, then yanked out a clump of his hair. He pulled out a wad of his little brown beard and threw up both arms in despair.
This priest was a wreck as he watched God’s folks sin. He cried out to God all the eve, “Forgive us, oh Lord, I’m ashamed and embarrassed, I’m sure that you must be quite peeved.”
But his story takes a twist, I’m thrilled to report, the folk overhear and repent. That’s very good news for one little Priest, for he’s me and my energy’s spent.
