The Brick Testament… The Bible In Legos

The Brick Testament Last Supper

Ever thought you would see the Last Supper in Legos.  I certainly didn’t. But if you check out the website The Brick Testament, this is just the beginning of Bible stories you will see illustrated using Legos.

Tons of free stories on this site and a great way to have kids enjoy Bible stories with the toy they love.

Brendan Powell Smith, the author also spent 10 year working to bring together his book The Brick Bible.  This is a collection of the Old Testament stories.

Going through his website you find hundreds of images that will help your kids revisit familiar Bible stories and maybe pick up their Lego’s to try and recreate the scenes themselves. Some of the illustrations are a bit graphic so we would suggest filtering through the pages before you hand them to your kids. We think that any wise parent can focus on the big picture.

I also love the greeting card section and the list of other titles that he has published in book form. For example he has The Brick Testament/ Stories from the Book of Genesis, The Ten Commandments, and The Story of Christmas. All are available at Amazon.com. as well as his website.

Mr. Smith provides another tool that creative parents can use to teach their children more of God’s story. Anything that can be used to stimulate discussions about God’s word is sure to bless our world. Great job Mr. Smith!

P.S. I love the Ark of the Covenant in Legos!!

If you like what you read, check out our children’s book, Hooked on the Book, on this website.  It provides the Big Story behind all 66 books in the Bible including colorful illustrations, rhymes and a surprise on every page.
