Our last lesson on money is about how kids need to learn how to save their money. We are called to be good stewards and one of the ways of being a good steward to save money.
The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty; but the thoughts of everyone who is hasty only to poverty.
Our lesson for this blog is to teach our kids to save money not only because this allows them to have it for the future but it teaches them about how money can grow from interest. Some activities to help with this are:
1) Visit your local bank with your child.
2) Talk with the teller about how your child wants to open an account that will get him the best interest.
3) Talk to your child about how by putting their money in the bank it is protected because it is federally insured.
4) Open a savings account for your kids.
The is just another amazing way of talking to our kids about finances.
